We understand that families have varying levels of availability, and we truly value any involvement you can offer. The parents and families of St Mary’s are a vital part of what makes our school such a strong and connected community. We see our parents as genuine partners in their child’s education, whether that involvement is through volunteering, attending events or simply staying informed and engaged with school life.
Parents & Friends
Our Parents & Friends group plays an important role in building community and supporting the school. This group provides opportunities for families to be actively involved in social and fundraising events, while also contributing ideas and supporting school improvement. Funds raised by Parents & Friends enhance learning and play opportunities for our students. New members are always welcome.
School Advisory Council (SAC)
The SAC provides an opportunity for parents to work alongside school leadership in shaping the future of St Mary’s. The group typically includes parents, the Principal, Deputy Principal and Parish Priest, and focuses on areas such as strategic planning, child safety, school policies, learning programs, transitions, extracurricular opportunities, and strengthening home–school partnerships.
Brekky Club
Our popular Breakfast Club runs each morning and is supported by dedicated parent volunteers and staff. Students enjoy toast and fruit while catching up with friends in a relaxed, social setting before the start of the school day, helping them feel settled and ready to learn.
Canteen
St Mary’s operates a daily school canteen, and we greatly appreciate the dedicated volunteers who support Trudy, our canteen manager in preparing lunch orders and serving students.
